Who is Gabriel Saragovia?

Gabriel Saragovia is the founder of Rio Perdido, a Costa Rican eco-resort and thermal springs spa. He was born and raised in Costa Rica, and has always been passionate about environmental conservation and sustainable development. In 2003, he bought a piece of land in the remote rainforest of Costa Rica with the intention of creating an eco-friendly resort that would have a positive impact on the local community and environment. After years of planning and construction, Rio Perdido finally opened its doors in 2012 and has since become one of the most popular eco-tourism destinations in Central America. Gabriel is also a big advocate for using renewable energy sources, and Rio Perdido was one of the first hotels in Costa Rica to be entirely powered by hydroelectricity from its own on-site waterfalls.

What inspired him to create Rio Perdido?

Gabriel Saragovia was born in Costa Rica and has always been fascinated by the country's natural beauty - its rainforest in particular. After working as a civil engineer for some time, he realized his true passion was working with nature and conservation, so he founded Rio Perdido, an eco-lodge and adventure park set in the heart of the Costa Rican rainforest. His goal is to show visitors the amazing biodiversity of the rainforest while also teaching them about its importance and how to protect it. He is constantly innovating new ways to make Rio Perdido more sustainable and reduce its impact on the environment. Gabriel Saragovia is a passionate advocate for preserving our planet's natural resources and helping people understand their role in ensuring future generations will enjoy them too.
